9 Months and Basketball

Sam pulling herself onto everthing she can. She loves to go under the table where Nadya is and play with her feet.
Sam crawling. She gets faster everyday.

So, Sam turned 9 months old a few weeks ago but we went to her check-up last night. It was good to see the doctor and ask a few questions about Sam. Sam is now 29 1/4 inches long, which a little above the 95th percentile. She is weighs 18 pounds 9 ounces, which is in the 50th percentile. She is definitely tall and skinny. As I talked to the doctor about Sam, the main question was how can I get her to sleep through the night. I got told that since she has dropped in weight percentile but kept up in the height, that I probably need to nurse her more than I have been and that I still need to feed her at night. I swear all I ever do is feed Sam. Hopefully in the next few months she'll put on a little more weight and start to sleep through the night.
She is where she needs to be developmentally. She has been crawling now for a month and is into everything. She has started to stand up on things and move across things with help. She's started to say a few sounds. It has been fun to watch her grow and develop. I can't believe how different the two girls are. The are both so cute and a handful in different ways.

So now for the second part of the title. Last night I started playing in a basketball league. It was so good to get out and play again, but man I am pathetic. I am so out of shape and was struggling for breath with a few times down the court. I guess that's what I get for not exercising and going out without any practice. It will be a good thing for me and I am so glad that Julie asked me to play. So thanks Julie. Hopefully I will get better the longer we play.

That is awesome you started playing basketball again! It is never too late to get back in shape. Jason and I played in a soccer league last year, or atleast I tried. I sucked, but loved the workout. The kids loved watching us play and thought it was so cool that mom and dad can play sports like them. By the way, I loved your Christmas card!
