The second day of our trip we spent the whole day at the zoo. We have been there numerous times but have not been able to see everything. It was so much fun to be there with the girls and seeing all of the animals that they wanted to see. We started off at the butterfly exhibit and it was the best we have seen there. The butterflies were very active and I was able to get some cool shots of them. Nadya had fun trying to find the different ones on the sheet they had.
We then walked around the zoo, we went and saw the elephants, rhinos, and all the animals in that section. Then we went into the children's petting zoo. The girls had fun seeing some of the animals up closer. We got to see the tree kangaroos up close and watch the zoo keepers working with them. Samantha liked being able to chase the chickens.
The girls also got to ride the train and the carousel and had fun doing those things. The train ride was great because it gave Grace her much needed nap. It was just a fun day to spend with the girls and the weather was awesome after a very cool spring.
