Nadya said she wanted a big piece of watermelon. Before we could stop her she had it off the plate and in her mouth.

Family Night Picnic
So last week, we went up Big Cottonwood Canyon to have dinner with Earl's Grandparents, parents, and siblings. We had a great time sitting around the fire, roasting hotdogs, and feeding the squirrels. Nadya loved that the squirrels would come right up to her to get the food. Samantha loved staring at the fire and sitting with Aunt Heidi. It was nice to get away from the city and out of the heat. It's amazing how just going up into the mountains can be so much cooler than staying in Salt Lake. It was a good time being together and enjoying the nature around us.
Nadya had fun roasting her own hot dog.
Samantha loved staring at the fire. She loves bright lights.
Earl showing Nadya how to hold still and let the squirrels eat the food.
The squirrels even let Nadya feed them.

Dear Rachel and family,
Sounds like so much fun. I would love to be up in a canyon around the fire right now. Today was a beautiful day, just busy. We love you all and miss you.
