Vacation!

So we took our first family vacation with both of the girls. I was a little nervous at first to take the five hour drive with Samantha because she is not a big fan of the car. However, she did wonderfully. Most of the time she slept but when she wasn't sleeping, she just played with her toys in the car seat. Nadya loved the car because we had a dvd player for her to watch her movies. The girls were great during the trip. Nadya loved camping. We had a good time down in Boulder, Utah with Earl's family. I couldn't have asked for a better trip.

"I am a pirate." This is what Nadya says when she is wearing a bandana. She also assumes anyone who is wearing a bandana is a pirate. Heidi was nice to let Nadya wear her bandana for a while.

Don't we look great. This is the day we came home from camping. Nadya did not want to come home. "I want to stay camping," was her reply. We did have a great trip.




Samantha loved laying on the airmattress and watching me get things cleaned up.


















Nadya wore herself out camping. She fell asleep while we were driving to the water hole for her and daddy to go swimming.

I am batman." This is what Nadya says when she poses like this. She must get it from her cousins because she has never seen batman. It was pretty funny to see her doing this.

I finally talked Earl into taking a picture of me with the girls. They were so good on this camping trip. Nadya loved being outside all of the time and having all of Earl's family with her at her beck and call. Samantha was wonderful. She just sat and smiled and laughed. It was a great trip.

"I love being free."

Samantha has finally started to like having her arms free instead of being swaddled. She slept through the night for the first time July 5th. It was such a wonderful night.
