We had a really nice Easter this year. Very low key, but we really enjoyed the fact that Earl is done with school. We dyed eggs with Nadya and Samantha, which they always love to do. As we dyed the eggs, we talked about Easter and the reason we celebrate and why eggs are used in celebrating. It is so neat to hear the girls talk about Jesus and the resurrection. They love all of the candy and things that are done with Easter but they still understand the true meaning of Easter which is amazing. After the egg dying, we took the girls to the annual SAA easter egg hunt. The weather was not the greatest so they did it in a gym. They got to bet a bunny that was there and then had fun picking up eggs. It didn't take Grace long to figure out what to do and loved putting the eggs into her basket.
On Easter, the girls got their Easter baskets and loved the things that they got. A little bit of candy, an Easter dress, swimsuit, and each of the girls got a book. Grace did not like having to put her basket up while she ate breakfast. We then went to church and after church we had a little Easter egg hunt in our back yard. It was a very simple Easter for us but that's what we like.
I am so thankful for my Savior and his life. He truly is the reason we celebrate Easter.
